Know your model years

The used QX60, year by year

One fact organizes the entire used QX60 market: in 2022, INFINITI redesigned the QX60 from the ground up and replaced the CVT with a 9-speed automatic. Everything else follows from which side of that line you shop.

First generation · CVT
2014–15The first QX60s, launched as the JX35. Deep-value territory where history and inspection matter most.
2016 INFINITI QX60

2017 INFINITI QX60
2017295-hp direct-injection V6 arrives. A meaningful step up in performance.
2019 INFINITI QX60
2018–19Trim walk simplified to PURE and LUXE for 2019. Strong value years.

Second generation · 9-speed
2022 INFINITI QX60
2022All-new: 9-speed automatic, new cabin, 12.3″ touchscreen, wireless CarPlay, up to 6,000-lb towing.

About the CVT question

It’s the most common question we get, so here’s the straight answer. First-generation QX60s (through 2020) use a continuously variable transmission. The earliest examples deserve the closest look, and service history matters on all of them — which is why we pull it on every unit we take in. 2022 ended the question entirely with a conventional ZF 9-speed. Any first-gen QX60 that can’t pass our inspection doesn’t make it to the lot.

Trim levels

Used QX60 trims, decoded

2026 and newer

SPORT replaces SENSORY

  • PURE — the full core package: panoramic moonroof, tri-zone climate, 12.3″ touchscreen, wireless CarPlay, full safety suite.
  • LUXE — climate-controlled front seats, ProPILOT Assist 1.1, wireless charging, and Klipsch audio. The volume trim.
  • SPORT — new for 2026: dark exterior accents, 20″ gloss-black wheels, and second-row captain’s chairs standard — the sportier take on SENSORY’s old slot.
  • AUTOGRAPH — the flagship: quilted semi-aniline leather, massaging front seats, every option box ticked.

2022–2025

Second generation — 2025 adds the VC-Turbo engine and Black Edition

  • PURE — panoramic moonroof, leather-appointed seating, 12.3″ touchscreen, and wireless CarPlay, all standard. A genuinely well-equipped entry point.
  • LUXE — adds climate-controlled front seats, navigation with ProPILOT Assist, a 360° camera, and 20″ wheels. The volume trim.
  • SENSORY — semi-aniline leather, Bose 17-speaker audio, second-row captain’s chair availability.
  • AUTOGRAPH — the flagship: quilted leather, massaging front seats, every option box ticked.

2016–2020

First generation — packages, then trims

  • 2016–2018 — one well-equipped base model built up with packages: Premium, Premium Plus, Theater, Deluxe Technology. Two similar-looking QX60s can differ a lot — check the window sticker.
  • 2019–2020 PURE — the simplified base trim: leatherette seating, moonroof, heated front seats, and the forward-safety suite standard.
  • 2019–2020 LUXE — the upper trim: Bose audio and memory settings, with the option packages layered on top (Essential adds leather-appointed seating and navigation). There is no 2021 — INFINITI skipped straight to the redesigned 2022.

Certified Pre-Owned

Certified Pre-Owned INFINITI QX60: what the badge means

Not every used QX60 qualifies. A candidate must be within five model years, under 60,000 miles, and pass a 167-point inspection performed by INFINITI-trained technicians — ours, in our shop. Here’s what you get when one makes the cut.

Factory-backed warranty

6-year/unlimited-mile limited warranty on vehicles over 15,000 miles; 6-year/75,000-mile under that. Both run from the original in-service date, with a $0 deductible.

First year covered

One year of prepaid factory-recommended maintenance, plus 24/7 roadside assistance, towing, rental reimbursement, and trip-interruption coverage.

Full history, verified

Clean-title requirement and a vehicle history report on every certified unit — and on our own lease returns, we already have the complete service file.

Coverage terms per INFINITI USA’s Certified Pre-Owned program; see dealer for complete details and exclusions.

Why buy here

Why QX60 shoppers end up at RBM INFINITI

2019 INFINITI QX60

Where our QX60s come from

We source wherever the good cars are — including auction, like every dealer. But our first calls go to our own lease returns and repeat customers, because a QX60 we sold new and serviced arrives with a history we already know. Every unit gets the same inspection either way; the difference is how much of the story comes with the car.

Depth, not luck

With our used QX60s in stock, you compare years, trims, and colors side by side in one visit — instead of driving across metro Atlanta to see one car at a time.

Common questions

Used QX60 FAQs

Is a used INFINITI QX60 reliable?

Second-generation models (2022 and newer) have a strong record and a conventional 9-speed automatic. First-generation models are solid family SUVs whose main watch-item is the CVT, especially on the earliest cars — which is why service history and a proper inspection matter more on this model than most. Every QX60 we sell has both.

What year did the QX60 switch from the CVT?

2022. INFINITI skipped the 2021 model year entirely — the first generation ended with 2020, and the redesign launched as a 2022 with a ZF 9-speed automatic. Every 2022-and-newer QX60 has the 9-speed; every 2020-and-older has the CVT.

What does INFINITI Certified Pre-Owned include on a QX60?

A 167-point inspection, a factory-backed limited warranty — 6-year/unlimited-mile on vehicles over 15,000 miles, 6-year/75,000-mile under that, both from the original in-service date — with a $0 deductible, plus one year of prepaid maintenance, roadside assistance, rental reimbursement, and trip-interruption coverage.

How many people does the QX60 seat?

Seven in the standard configuration, across three rows. Some 2022-and-newer trims offer second-row captain’s chairs, which trade the middle bench seat for a six-passenger layout with easier third-row access.

What’s the difference between the QX60 PURE and LUXE?

PURE is the well-equipped entry point: on second-generation models (2022 and newer) it includes the panoramic moonroof, leather-appointed seating, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay standard. LUXE adds climate-controlled front seats, ProPILOT Assist, a 360-degree camera, and larger wheels — and it dominates the used market: 2019 and 2020 QX60 LUXE models are among the most shopped-for used QX60s. On first-generation cars, PURE seats are leatherette, with real leather arriving through packages on LUXE; on the earliest cars (2016–2018) there’s one base model built up with packages, so compare window stickers rather than trim names.

Can a used QX60 tow?

Yes. Properly equipped second-generation models (2022+) tow up to 6,000 pounds — enough for most boats and campers. First-generation models are rated up to 5,000 pounds with the tow package.

How much does a used QX60 cost in Atlanta?

It depends mostly on the generation: late first-generation models (2019–2020) are the value sweet spot, while 2022-and-newer second-generation models cost more but carry the new design, the 9-speed, and CPO eligibility. Every unit in our QX60 inventory is listed with its live price.
